Artist magazine by Carsten Holler and Klaus Baumgartner in 1991 (5 issues released until August 1995). Amokkoma attempts to transcend both time and space through its use of polyglossia, anachronism, and appropriation... The historical personalities around which issues are structured are made into ahistorical symbols that stand for larger concepts or fields of inquiry as elaborated or even liberated by the intervening artworks.
