Simone Rueß, born in 1982, observes the structures of cities and how citizens make use of the urban space. By inhabiting cities as Warsaw, Paris, or Berlin, she explores her own movement space, as well as those of others. Simone Rueß deals with human movements in the environment of urban architecture. Step by step, plot by plot, not only do path analysis of everyday urban life emerge. Rather, the massive stratification of lines in her sociological investigations gives rise to new forms that, when removed from two-dimensionality, assume their own aesthetic character.

I am drawing only the happening that I hear/feel from the little one of course my own body is very much also involved with this, as we »live together« in this moment. (workshop at Akademie Schloss Solitude)
